What is the entry fee for the 2019 events?
The entry fee is £28 for the 10K and £35 for the Half Marathon.
The Bank of Scotland Junior Great Scottish Run and the family mile are £9 (each child entry in the family mile will receive 2 adult bibs to accompany them). The Bank of Scotland Great Scottish Run Toddler dash is free of charge.
What is the age limit?
The age limit depends on which distance you are looking to enter:
- You must be no older than 5 to take part in the toddler dash (With accompanied adult(s))
- You must be between the ages of 3-8 to take part in the Family Mile (With accompanied adult(s))
- You must be between the ages of 9-15 to take part in the Junior event (With accompanied adult(s))
- You must be 15 years or over on the day of the event to enter the 10K event
- You must be 17 years or over on the day of the event to enter the half marathon
What is the Family Mile?
The Family Mile is for children aged 3-8 (With accompanied adult(s))
Each child entry will receive 2 adult bibs for parents/guardians to accompany them.
Parents/guardians are not eligible for t-shirts or finisher’s bags.
I have ordered a technical T-shirt? When will it be sent?
If you have purchased a technical T-shirt they will be sent out to you separately to your race pack.

When will I receive my race pack?
The race packs are sent out approximately two weeks prior to the event.
Your pack will contain your race number and timing chip.

The covering letter in the pack will direct you to the event’s website for all the event information you shall need for the day.
I have received my race pack, what do I do now?
Once you have received your race pack, the most important thing to do now is visit the event webpage and read all the information provided.
This is important race preparation and will ensure a more relaxing and enjoyable day!
Runners do not need to register on race day; all you need is your running number and timing chip which is attached to the number.
I haven’t received my race pack, what should I do?
If your race pack has not arrived by Monday 23rd September 2019, please email email@example.com with your full name and date of birth and we shall verify your entry and give you details as to how you can collect a replacement pack on the weekend of the event.

EDITING MY PERSONAL DETAILS
I have recently moved house, how do I stop my run pack from being sent to my old address?
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we shall update our records. When you do so please clearly state your full name, event entered together with your old and new address details.
Please ensure you notify us at least six weeks prior to the event otherwise we will be unable to prevent your pack being sent to your previous address.
Should you need to, you can collect a replacement race pack from the information point on the weekend of the event.
I have entered the wrong estimated running time on my entry form, how do I change this?
If you would like to amend your estimated running time please send an email to email@example.com clearly stating your full name, postcode, which event you have entered and your new estimated running time. We will then be able to amend this for you.
Please ensure you notify us at least six weeks prior to the event otherwise we will be unable to amend.
ZONE START/WAVE ALLOCATION
What Start Zone/Wave have I been allocated to?
Your starting time and wave allocation will depend on your estimated running time as stated on your entry form.
Runners can determine what wave they have been allocated to by looking at their race number, which is sent out in the race pack. The background colour of the race number will determine which zone runners are in.
Full details of wave assembly points and start times can be found on the event’s website.
I want to run in the same Start Zone/Wave as my friend:
We cannot guarantee that all runners who estimated the same running time will be allocated in the same wave.
If you find that you have been allocated to different waves, the rule is you can move down a wave to meet your friends or family, but not up.
I am not happy with my Start Zone/Wave allocation and want to move down to a slower wave:
If you would like to run in a slower wave then you do NOT need to change your race number. All you need to do is assemble in the later wave on race day. We do not need to be notified of your change down.
I am not happy with my Start Zone/Wave allocation and want to move up into a faster wave:
Race numbers have been allocated on your estimated time given on your application. If you feel you should be in a higher wave we will need additional proof of a race you have completed in the last twelve months. This can be a print out of your result/certificate from a previous event/evidence of training runs.
Please bring proof to the Information desk on race weekend along with your race number and chip. If your proof is in line with our wave allocation we will move you up. For more information please email firstname.lastname@example.org
RUNNING FOR CHARITY
Do I have to run for one of the charities listed on your website?
Once you have registered and paid to secure a place in the event, you have your own place.
You do not need to run for the associated charities listed on the entry form or website. You can run and raise money for any charity/cause of your choice. All you need to do is contact your chosen charity directly and request a sponsorship pack.
I have selected to run for a charity but have now changed my mind, what do I do?
If you wish to change the name of the charity that you are running for, all you need to do is let your original charity know and then contact your new chosen charity directly for sponsorship details.
I haven’t received my Sponsorship Pack, where can I get one from?
If you selected to run for one of our official charities when completing your entry form, they will be in touch with sponsorship details in due course. If you would like them sooner please contact your charity directly.
If you did not select one of our official charities, you will need to get in contact with your chosen charity and request a sponsorship pack. Your race packs will be sent out separately; this will contain your race number and timing chip.
I can’t take part in the event can I get a refund?
If your entry is accepted, your fee is not refundable unless supported by a doctor's note. If this is the case please scan a copy of a doctor’s note and email it to us at email@example.com.
Please also state in your email your full name, date of birth and which event you have entered.

Please also include a covering letter stating your full name, date of birth and which event you have entered.
Refunds will be accepted at least six weeks prior to the event (ten weeks if you have entered a Half Marathon or a Marathon event) otherwise we will be unable to stop your race pack being sent. After this time no refund will be offered.
All refunds are subject to a £5.00 administration charge. Refunds will not be possible for any other eventuality. Refunds will be transferred back to the card that was used for payment.
All entries are non-transferable either to a different participant or to subsequent events in future years.
What do I receive when I cross the finish line?
All finishers of the 10K and Half Marathon events will receive a finisher’s pack containing a medal, event T-shirt and other goodies.
Finisher’s packs are sorted by size, so please take the t-shirt size you asked for on your entry form.
How do I view my race results?
To view your race results please visit www.greatscottishrun.com and click on the results tab.
Select the correct event from the drop down list and enter either your race number or surname, then press submit.
My Time is not displayed in the Results Section, how do I find my time?
If no result is displayed please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your full name, race number and the event in which you took part. We will then arrange for our results team to investigate.
PHOTOGRAPHS & CERTIFICATES
How do I view my photos from the event?
To see photos of you please visit www.greatscottishrun.com
Click on the photos tab, choose the correct event and enter either your race number or surname, and press submit.
Please note that unfortunately we cannot guarantee all runners will have a photo of themselves.
Pictures are tagged when your run number is clearly shown. If your number was obscured in any way it will not be picked up. If no photos are shown, please try using the ‘More Runners Photos’ link to enter a description of what you were wearing on the day.
If you ran with a friend, please try entering their surname or race number.
How do I download my free certificate?
To see photos of you and to download your free certificate please visit www.greatscottishrun.com and click on the ‘Photos’ tab
Click on the link for the correct event and enter either your race number or surname, then press submit.
You should see your photos displayed, along with a link to download your free certificate
